Each year, more than 600,000 women have hysterectomies in the U.S. Now, for this large group of women, there's some potentially good news about using hormones to treat the symptoms of menopause.
"Everyone says hormones and they don't realize there's a huge difference between estrogen alone and estrogen plus progestin and a big difference between women who have a uterus and women who've had a hysterectomy," Dr. Marcia Stefanik said.
