I decided a few years ago that I had to make a change. I began training in Martial Arts, and after a few years started at a new school learning the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I love it, and it's been tremendously good for me mentally and physically. I lost 40 lbs within the first 6 months, and have kept it off for about a year now.

My blog started as a way to track my training for a marathon. Since then it has morphed into a place where I write about all things running and health related.
