Yoga Tayrona Colombia Retreat

Posted Sep 12 2008 6:51pm

Flyerdi There are a number of retreats all over the globe this summer. I mentioned in previous posts a couple in Spain , as well as my teacher Ashley Turner's upcoming July retreat in Machu Picchu. Have not been blessed with the gift of astral travel as of yet , and with my parent's upcoming R & R trip to the EU ( Estados Unidos ), the only invitation I may take up in June would be Mike's Ohm @ the Standard in SoBe Miami.

One of my favorites , Lulu in the Sky, has also sent an invite for the summer. Here's the 411 :

Hi, thank you so much for your help, is always good to hear from you, when are you coming to visit?

YOGA RETREAT TAYRONA BEACH
BY DIEGO BERNAL
ON HIS ARRIVAL FROM INDIA
May 18 - 21, 2007

During four days in a gorgeous beachfront at Tayrona Park, we will dedicate to ourselves, taking care of our body, mind and soul through the ancient practice of yoga with meditation sessions, vinyasa flow yoga and deep relaxation. We will get the opportunity to take a moment of silence and experiment a profound both mentally and phisical renewal in intimate connection with nature and our inner self.
Enjoy delicious vegetarian meals and healthy eating with organic and locally grown food.

INSTRUCTOR:
DIEGO BERNAL
Certified Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga instructor by the International Yoga Training Center, Benares - India

TAYRONA NATURE PARK is located at the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the world’s tallest coastal mountain, a massif separated from the Andes that harbors numerous self-contained tropical and alpine ecosystems in a relatively small area. The mountain’s isolation has allowed for many plant and animal species found nowhere else on Earth. The Sierra Nevada is sacred to several indigenous communities who still practice centuries-old traditions. These native people believe that the Sierra Nevada is the center of the universe and that the mountain’s health controls the entire Earth’s health, it has been called “The Latin American Tibet”.

The foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, submerge into the sea in the Tayrona Park, a tropical paradise with white beaches ideal to relax, and detoxify your body with the ancient practice of yoga.
