While in Honolulu , I received an email from Ken Martin from the Nursing Schools Site , mentioning that this blog had been selected for inclusion as part of their shortlisted " Ultimate Guide to Yoga Travel ".
It is another honor to be cited as a blog site wherein one can " find news on yogic practice around the world " .
I have been blessed to be able to enjoy the gift of travel and to meet and practice with several of the leading lights of yoga. Because of this , I endeavor to communicate the experiences and inspiration of these encounters via this blog.
My recent Honolulu trip also provided me the opportunity to be of service to my parents. To ensure that they enjoyed their visit and were well taken care of.
The view above is from the Nuuanu condo of my cousin , Christina K., who I was able to re-connect with during this trip. We are now fellow travellers ; she had been on recent sojourns & spiritual journeys to Bagan , Myanmar & Ubud, Bali. No longer seekers but " finders ". Hari Om Tat Sat.
And it always feels like coming home during the weekends when I am back in Santa Monica and can attend classes with my teachers. The only "observation" I had during Jerome M.'s class this afternoon was the persistent chatter ( manifesting their monkey minds ) , bordering on the disrespectful , of 2 so-called "yoga instructors" at the front of the class. Yoga chitta vritti nirodha ; practice what you preach -
