Ever since I got back from my vacation I have had the hardest time getting back into my home practice. And this is not good, as I have teacher training coming up. I have been going to classes but my goal was to do a little bit of yoga every day.
This evening, as I look around my apartment, I realize that I have been sorting through a lot of stuff and there just hasn't been a good space to do yoga that feels serene and peaceful.
I have this thought that I should rearrange my living room, which has Pergo (fake hardwood) flooring. If I removed the big coffee table, I would have a large space that would feel like a mini yoga studio.
I'll work on a solution and let you know how it goes.
Here is my progress report. I completely rearranged my living room in such a manner that I have a huge open space for yoga as well as a little area off to the side where I am using an extra coffee table againsts the wall as an altar of sorts. The other half of the living room has the usual living room stuff in it (futon, TV, etc.). I did some yoga in there today and it was fantastic. I could even fit another person in there for yoga. So I think this will make a huge difference in my home yoga practice.
That sounds like a great ideal! I have been finding it hard to practice at home. I have a 2600 sq ft shop in my backyard, I have taken a 12 ft X36 ft section to make a mini Yoga studio..... LOL.... I even named it this past weekend, "Yoga For Life Studio" and plan to decorate it pointing toward Yoga..... LOL Maybe this will help! I even put up some large globe lights with a dimmer control. Now I'm getting ready to put mirror's on three walls. Maybe we can get together some day and practice.... LOL If we had a jet that is..... I'm in Jackson TN
I really should have been practicing more, I have a Level III Teacher Training Feb 9th &10, 2008 in Memphis TN.
