Yogi Times Sept. 2006 issue had a great letter from a male reader in Santa Barbara , Charles Brewster. Some of the points raised by Charles :
" A quick survey of your July / August anniversary special issue reveals that a majority of the articles are written by women and as such have a decidedly female slant to them in my humble opinion."
" More often than not I see this majority play out in the yoga class that I attend on a regular basis and I would like to know why since yoga is a great practice for both men and women. "
Well Charles, one of my objectives for this blog was to communicate the universal " feel good " yogic experience. So please follow this blog for a more balanced ( another yogic principle ) point of view.
As more guys start practicing, there will be a shift in perception and presentation . And just for the sake of argument, let's not forget who were the original yogis and gurus in Vedic India -
With that in mind, check out 72K, a Cali based company that designs and manufactures practice clothes solely for guys. Scott Blossom of Shunyata Yoga has been their image model for several seasons.
