Injured aerobics instructor makes yoga routine

A longtime aerobics trainer, Syena Sowden has come back from a knee-injury and the birth of two children to develop her own special brand of yoga. Her career, which was spent in Reno, California, and Boston, has brought her back to Fallon, NV, where she operates The Energy Center. Sowden created MoTiYoGaChi, a yoga movement that combines tai chi, yoga and rhythmic tribal movements. Because so many out-of-town visitors to her classes wanted a video of the MoTiYoGaCh, she has developed a DVD. "People would get addicted to it," she told the Nevada Appeal. It's so fun to see exercises change and mix together over time. I say it's all good! Anything that gets us moving, anything that can keep our attention for more than a few minutes is worthwhile. Face it, we are all so lazy! We have such an easy lifestyle compared to our ancestors. We've got to do whatever we can to keep our bodies in motion. http://www.afterthebubbly.blogspot.com
