I was using ropes last night rather than head stands which I cannot do because of arthritis in the neck. I gradually became nauseated by the end of my session which didn't bother me too much. however, I woke up in the middle of the night with severe palpitations and generally feeling dizzy and unwell. could it be connected to the head stands. this morning I am tired and a bit "headachy".
They aren't inherently risky. If done corretly you should be fine when you do them. Some people even report that they help overall wellness. If you think it could be from yoga, talk to your teacher and your doctor and try to get a lock on what happened. It could just be an unfortuante coincidence.
