The magical image on the left is of Castle Creek in Aspen after the snow stated to fall yesterday afternoon.
Aspen has several concentrations of mega-real estate, Red Mtn., being one of them. But just like Highland Park in Dallas , some parts of the Hamptons & Beverly Park in LA , one is paying upwards of $ 8 MM to sit in close proximity to your neighbor.
So if you have an additional $ 10 - 25 MM to spare for a secondary or tertiary home, Castle Creek will provide you an estate with acreage , tranquility & privacy.
And to balance this perspective , I only watch TV when I am in a hotel travelling. After dinner last night in Snowmass , having to endure the mundane popularity of Charlie Sheen's implosion via Facebook & Twitter ( Yup , TMI buddy ) following was starting to border on the ridic.
It was good timing that I caught the PBS docu : " Secrets of Shangri -La Quest for Sacred Caves ". The whole ancient Buddhist theme of the artwork & writings found in the caves centered around the concept of " Impermanence ".
Worth meditating about if you are still obsessed about the pursuit of material possessions & fleeting "maya " -
