Americans are changing their attitudes toward health and wellness, according to the National Marketing Institute's Top Ten LOHAS Trends for 2009.Among the "Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability" (LOHAS) consumer segment -- almost 20 percent of the US population -- interest in wellness and moderation, especially in areas of consumer consumption and work, will continue to increase.
A few weeks ago I reported that 38% of Americans use some form of alternative health, and many give the more unconventional treatments to their kids, too. Now CNN has a great piece on which alternative treatments are safe for children. It just might be worth passing around the office.
