What causes cramping in foot traveling up leg to knee when in bed at night?

Posted by jomo510

My foot starts to pull and the tendon in the top of my foot gets real tight and painful.  I try to stand on it and relax but it doesn't help.  What could be the cause of this?

Sometimes it could be a potassium defiency.  Try eating a banana everyday.  They have a lot of potassium.  I used to get foot cramps when I was pregnant.  When you get a cramp, flex your foot up and down.  This will help the muscle loosten and increase the blood flow.
