Vitamin B-12 Is Not Effective For Weight Loss

One question that I get asked frequently is “Will Vitamin B-12 shots help me to lose weight?” Many people have heard that but unfortunately there is no scientific proof. There’s no evidence that vitamin B-12 in any form, injections or vitamin pills enhances weight loss in any way. There was one study published in 2005 that suggested that people who took a number of different supplements, including vitamin B-12, gained weight more slowly over a 10-year period than did those who took no supplements. But diet and exercise was not monitored in that study.  So as much as we all want a silver bullet for weight loss, unfortunately B-12 is not it.
