Upcoming Radio Show & Event: The California Women’s Conference
Posted Aug 13 2012 9:21am
It’s a post-Olympic celebration here at Real Women on Health for female competitors and medal winners Gaby Douglas and Missy Franklin who have captured the hearts and souls of America. I’m betting many of us women who are going for gold with our businesses have been inspired by these young women’s stories, and have renewed energy and vision to forge ahead and build our business.
I don’t know about you…but I’m not talking about about “having it all”. I think the gold medal for entrepreneurial women is achieved when we are recognized for creating the kind of change that leads to better health and wellbeing. However, this frame of mind requires that women learn the skills we need to financially grow our businesses and impact more people. While women are sorely needed at the top, and only 4% of women are CEOs in health and healthcare organizations, one of the issues is that not all women choose the corporate pathway. However, one thing is clear: the issues that female corporate business leaders face are many of the same ones that women as small business leaders and entrepreneurs face and many times the common thread is this: how can I build a fulfilling career that offers opportunities for growth while juggling the demands of family?
That’s why we’ve invited corporate CEO Michelle Patterson, nationally recognized business accelerator, and Executive Director of the California Women’s Conference , to speak with our healthcare marketing consultants, health coaches and wellness entrepreneurs…who are changing the rules and creating a more harmonious and collaborative approach to building a business.
Here’s a fact:
Yes, women are launching businesses at twice the rate of men, however, most of these businesses have yet to financially support women and their families in a prosperous way. We will talk more about this on Wednesday, August 15th from 12:30 pm EST – 1:00 pm EST with Michelle who is also an entrepreneur dedicated to help women both personally and professionally, and reach their goals.
Join Kelley Connors, MPH, Women’s Wellness Advocate and Michelle Patterson, CEO, Event Complete on Real Women on Health Radio on Wednesday, August 15th at 12:30 pm EST.
