Skirt or No Skirt

Posted Feb 18 2009 6:09pm
Wow did I get a great deal of response to my last blog - What is Torture ..... Apparently many women out there can relate and agree. But, many women I know and don't know have passed on that they purchased a "Skirt" swimsuit!

Don't get me wrong, I think those type suits that are out now look great, but a friend of mine mentioned the dancing hippos to me several years ago and now that is all I can think of when I see those type suits.

I was in Chicago last week and did some shopping. Many stores had out swim suits! I got my courage up, plus I had nothing else to do that evening, and tried on some suits. And, I found a few that I liked. So, at the end of the day I had purchased 3 new suits.

Have a place you like to shop, online or off for suits? I found one that had a tag that claimed to be a Miracle suit. No miracles happened when I put on the suit, but I did purchase it.

I would love to hear from some of my readers as to some places to check out. Also, what do you think about age appropriate suits? Or what about those Skirt Swimsuits? Have some favorites?

As I mentioned before there is Travelsmith.com and someone suggested AlwaysForMe.com for larger size suits, check it out, it is a nice site. As I mentioned I purchased a Miraclesuit, they have a site, plus many stores carry this brand. Any others you can recommend?

I will be attending our Bikinis and Bifocals cruise this weekend and give you an update on the status of swimsuits for women of the baby boomer generation. As we use Bikinis in our name, we want to look great, whether in clothes or a swimsuit. It may not be a bikini, but I still want to look good, hey sexy if possible!
