Please, please get a second opinion. Even if Doc #2 agrees with the diagnosis and treatment of Doc #1! Your confidence in your decision will go far in your healing journey, from your initial diagnosis to your choice of a doc, to your healing and recovery. All will go smoother if you first do your homework or due diligence and find a doc you feel comfortable with. One who reacts to your questions and concerns, who answers your questions, who appreciates you as a person and treats you with respect and dignity. No one deseves a doc who is "too busy" to speak with them one - one. If you have one of them, find another one! You will be seeing this person frequently and wouldn't you rather look forward to a give and take conversation, informative, and respectful rather than a one-sided, pat-you-on-the-head-and-send-you-on-your-way dialog??
Remember, it is not just the body you and they will be dealing with, you and they must also consider that it takes 3 components to heal and recover: your mind, your body, and your spirit. Without all 3 being involved your healing and recovery will not go as quickly or as smoothly.
Good Luck! Peg

I am a 47 year old women and I had an ultrasound pelvic exam 5 days before my period, it revealed that my ovaries were enlarged 7.2 cm x 2.7 cm x 6.2 cm and the other measuring 7.5 cm x 5.8 cm x 5.3. It also revealed fibbroids. My doctor recomended that I have a Hysterectomy to remove both my ovaries. I'm not having any pain except heavy bleeding during my menstrual and also fatigue and bloating, my menstrual are pretty normal.
