Repeated Swollen Glands in my Armpits

I've repeatedly had swollen glands in both armpits on and off over the past few years. I just got another one and it is the most painful one I've had yet (it hurts to let my are fall all the way down against my side). I have also been very tired lately and not feeling good in general--coughing, feverish on and off, soar throat, fatigue, and stressed. I was wonderng if anyone might know what it is that is causing this and how severe it might be?
