pernicious anemia

my mum was daignosed over 20 yrs ago but after 6mth of b12 injections she was told thats enough ! she has been recieving the treatment now for 5/6 years, but it would seem the damage is done,fatiuge and often falls due to weakness off muscell,is there no going back? i am very angry at seeing my mum like this,the doctors seem useless
