If you have no time to exercise, try playing Wii Fit. It can improve your balance, flexibility, and overall muscle tone and is a fun way to add in some activity. Studies show that Wii Fit can help people to lose weight. With weight loss it is important to burn calories by keeping the body moving. Although Wii Fit may not be as good as a gym workout to increase metabolism and tone, it will help to get the body moving instead of spending time in front of the television or computer. The Wii Balance Board looks like the bathroom scale can give an accurate measure of a persons weight. A new study even suggests that playing the Nintendo Wii Fit can help improve balance in seniors which in turn helps prevent and avoid falls. In Scotland, at the University of Aberdeen the UK’s National Health Service and Scotland are conducting a 4 month study on people over the age of 70 to observe any changes in balance after using the Wii Fit regularly.
