National Recovery Month 2012: Maine Events

Posted Aug 23 2012 4:34pm

Fun during the Recovery Flash Mob at Monument Square, in Portland ME, September 2011.

September is National Recovery Month, a time to promote the societal benefits of prevention, treatment, and recovery for mental and substance use disorders, celebrate people in recovery, laud the contributions of treatment and service providers, and promote the message that recovery in all its forms is possible.

Last week, we asked for your recovery stories so that we can share them over the course of the month. Note: There is plenty of time to submit!

As promised in that post, following are some of the events happening in Maine for Recovery Month 2012. (If you’re not in Maine, find an event near you here .)
