I keep having kidney infections and UTI's all the time, it has been this way since I was a kid and kidney problems run in my family on both sides. I have tried everything from taking antibiotics, to drinking cranberry juice, apple juice, and water. I have even taken the otc AZO Standard. I am at a loss and I just don't know what to do. My family doctor will not refer me to a Ureologist. Its becomming a problem and I just want to know what is wrong. Could you please help me?
Why won't your doctor refer you to a urologist? That seems like the logical next step. Like you said, you've tried everything. If your family doctor can't help you, then you need to see someone else, and if that doctor won't make a referral, then you should find a new doctor. If I've learned anything from all my problems, it's that you must demand what you need from your doctor, and if they can't or won't give it to you, then you need to move on.
