i have cramps on my left side and it feels like running cramp but I done run. What could this be?

Hi! 

Even if you're not running you can have cramps in your oblique, and intercostal muscles (the ones between your ribs.) If these cramps occur while you are active (though not running) I would make sure that you do a gradual warm up before hand. A great way to warm up is to do 5 minutes of light activity followed by at least 5 minutes of total body stretching.

If they are happening while at rest it could be due to stress, dehydration, or electrolyte imbalance. If the cramps continue despite proper rest, hydration, and diet please do check with your doc.
