Thyroxine - are you taking this for hypothyroidism?  If so, wrong drug IMHO.  You need iodine.  Lack of iodine causes goiter.  See and read Dr David Brownstein's books: "Iodine, Why we need it and can't live without it" and "Overcoming Thyroid Disorders".  Frankly, the fact that the knowledge of what prevents goiter has been known since the 19th century, it's amazing to me that docs don't seem to be aware of it.  Get educated and save your thyroid!  Good luck!
