hi,

i have the same problem too - i have had a dry patch of skin on my right hip now for about 2 months (which actually cleared up when I was on holiday in a warm country), but now i've noticed that its beginning on my left hip too. it can be very itchy at times and it seems to be getting bigger on my right hip. what is this?

I have little tiny bumps-like rash on both hips & on right hip I noticed 3 scratches. Never scratched cause it doesnt even itch & it looks like a cluster of tiny bumps! Never had this before, what is it?
Keep a food diary to see if the outbreak can be linked with something you've eaten.  I first noticed an itchy rash developing on my hip bones, outer knees, ankles, and top of feet, then my ribs and elbows.  My husband (a microbiologist) said, "It's hitting all your joints, so it's not contact dermatitis: something is in your bloodstream.  What have you eaten recently that you don't normally eat?"  We were on vacation, and I had eaten a little bit of shrimp, something I don't normally eat.  Bingo, that was the first sign that I was developing a shellfish allergy.  Good luck!
