Sorry but I can't picture to which glands you are referring when you describe them as narrowing. Flushing when you eat is a relatively common phenomena, especially with spicy foods and alcohol. If you have pimples on your face and perhaps a lot of little spider veins, we might think of rosacea. Hand swelling is also a relatively common response to high salt consumption. Of course, if you notice that your hands change colors, almost patriotic in nature, going from white to (painful) blue to red, then you might have Raynaud's syndrome. Best to go see your family physician and tell him/her what you've noted above. Good luck!
I am sorry I thought I explained it was my salivia glands that have a narrowing in them. I asked my dr and she said it was an acid flush and try drinking lemon water, but that seemed to make it worse. I have been taking a Zantac every day and also some Maalox tablets and drinking more milk and that seems to be helping. thanks
