i had total hip replacement (left) in 2004. Of late, my left thigh becomes stiff and painful on walking for a few minutes.

i have scoliosis since i was 13 years. I am now 51. In 2004, i met with a road accident and the ball in my left hip was fractured. A total hip replacement surgery was done. For about 5 years i was comfortable walking without support. Now, i cannot walk without my stick and only for 10 minutes at a stretch. My left thigh goes stiff and painful and sitting down on a chair is quite painful.  Could you tell me what the problem is and what i can do to ease the pain. I showed it to the surgeon who did the operation, he write a painkiller and tells me it is probably because of my scoliosis. Please help me.
