Living well with a chronic disease may sound like an oxymoron but just ask Claudia featured here in our Real Women on Health video. Her story may not be your story but, just the same, how have you learned to stay healthy and live your life well?
Many women have taken it upon themselves to acquire new skills as they navigate the new realities of living with a chronic condition that just wasn’t “planned for”. Others have devoted their work to empowering other women, and sharing their wisdom and teachings so others can live better. Let’s all agree we have our own journey and it’s proven in research that support and empowerment are keys to helping women feel better, no matter the diagnosis.
This Wednesday, June 20th, Real Women on Health will be hosting an on-line roundtable to share the views and voices of our members who are managing conditions such as fibromyalgia and breast cancer, to name but two. We are going to discuss how they felt when they were first diagnosed, to what they do every day to manage their condition and what they do for work/play/fun in their lives!
Join me in welcoming and giving high five to women who will be calling in to share their story around wellness and wellbeing, despite having a chronic condition.
