Finally, a better service

Posted Oct 30 2009 11:01pm
With so many satellite television providers offering you the best and the cheapest packages, choosing the one that will best suit your needs can get very daunting. Those attractive packages may not be all true. Hubs and I once made a mistake of choosing a satellite tv provider deal. We were attracted by the low price and the many channels it offered. Only to be disappointed that most were Chinese and Indian channels, languages we cannot understand.

We were set to finish the contract, some of his favorite channels were in the list anyway. But what really pissed hubs was the service. We weren't sure if it was just our connection but we get the "no signal" flashing on our tv very often. Calling them up was a tough job too. It's either the lines were busy or no one is answering our calls. When finally we were able to connect, customer service informed us that we were put on queue and had to wait for two days for the cable man. Argh!

We had to stop the subscription after a couple of months and paid extra for the cancellation. After that bad experience, we had to search again for the best satellite tv providers on the web. It didn't take us long though, to find one that we really like. We got a package for $29.99 and it includes over 150 channels - movies, sports, family favorites and cooking shows- mostly local channels we can very well understand. And hubs loves it so much because now he never misses a show. He can always record his favorite show during bowling nights using his DVR.

Don't be easily fooled with those attractive offers. Ask questions so you'll have a better understanding of what you're getting into.
