I've been taking Yaz birth control for over 2 years, and was wondering about its interaction with Macrobid, a UTI antibiotic. I took a 5 day course of the antibiotic and then had my period and started taking Yaz again 3 days after having stopped taking Macrobid. I've been taking yaz for 3 days now and was wondering if i would still need a back up method such as a condom to avoid pregnancy, since i've already been off Macrobid for 6 days and i know usually you want to use protection during and for a week after being done taking the antibiotic.
