do you have any info on what a throat infection of trichomonas looks/feels like?

i am experiencing a severe sore throat.  worst in my life. it hurts so much to swallow and breath that i feel like i'm suffocating. no other symptoms.  i think my husband may have a trichomonas infection.  this sore throat showed up 2 days after i engaged in oral sex with him.
