COPPELL FITNESS AND WEIGHT LOSS BOOT CAMP PROGRAM CELEBRATES 2 YEARS OF HELPING PEOPLE LOSE WEIGHT AND GET IN SHAPE.
COPPELL, TEXAS November 1, 2009- This month marks the two year anniversary for the GetYouInShape.com team based in Coppell. Since starting their first Coppell Fitness Boot Camp 2 years ago with 5 clients they have helped more than 2,000 participants that in total have lost over 6,800 inches and 2800 pounds! A celebration was hosted by founder Brad Linder and his wife Cynthia on October 24 th when they held an appreciation Open House at their home in Coppell inviting clients, friends and family to partake in an evening of fun and fellowship.
Linder partnered with the City of Coppell Parks and Recreation in October 2007 with the goal of bringing a program to the community that helps people get in shape in a fun and friendly environment that also provides encouragement, accountability, and motivation. In September of 2008, Get You In Shape opened up its corporate wellness program for the city of Coppell’s employees. The Corporate Wellness plan incorporated the City of Coppell into the existing Coppell Fitness Boot Camp.
The four – week Boot Camp program is a total package giving participants all the tools they need to get in shape. It consists of 14 total sessions designed for all fitness levels from beginners to athletes. It combines resistance training, core strengthening, cardiovascular fitness, improved balance and agility, and increased speed and flexibly into a single high-energy workout. Led by Linder, a former professional basketball player and certified personal trainer, Get You In Shape Coppell Boot Camp participants benefit from a comprehensive approach to wellness and exercise in a group environment that creates a sense of camaraderie, accountability, and motivation. Chaney Respondek, Coppell ISD teacher and resident concurs, “Get You In Shape was the answer I have been looking for. Following the complete program, I have been able to lose 12 pounds but increased energy and my overall health has been the biggest benefit. The workouts are never the same and after 18 months in the program, I still love it! This program is great for anyone in Coppell!” “I wanted to bring a community fitness program to Coppell that would make the process of becoming healthy and getting in shape easier and fun process. With the comprehensive approach, all the tools, the group camaraderie, and professional trainers helping throughout the process, participant are successful in achieving their goals. People need simple directions, a plan to follow, and a dynamic way to exercise to make it fun. We have put together a program that people enjoy and that has produced amazing success stories,” said creator Brad Linder. A New Get You in Shape Coppell Boot Camp begins each month with an Orientation and Seminar the Sunday before each camp starts. Each session is held outdoors at Andy Brown East or inside the Coppell Aquatics and Recreation Center.
