Here is something to think about if you have children. A new report shows that children and teens in the United States spend an average of seven hours a day using television, computers, phones and other electronic devices for entertainment. This is up over 100% compared to an average of three hours a day watching TV in 1999. Experts attribute the availability of computers, video games, the internet and TV advertising targeted to children and teens. Many feel this is an underlying cause of childhood obesity because there is little time in the day or play or exercise.
