Brown/ Bloody discharge or period for the last 24 days.

I'm 19 and have had an extremely heavy and irregular period since i got it in the 6th grade.  Finally my sophmore year in high school my doctor put me on birth control for regulate it.  It regulated it but caused me to have sinus problem and had to see a specialist for it.  When i got to college they took me off the pills to fix my breathing problems and it went irregular again.  Just recently I've been put back on a pill to try and regulate it without estrogen to keep me from having sinus problems.  I've had a light flow of brown discharge or maybe brown period for the last 24 days.  Does anyone have any ideas of what this could be.  I've also never had sex if that matters.
