about pregnancy and hcg levels and possibility of being twins??

 Okay.. where do I start.. at 3 to 4 weeks preg my hcg was tested.. levels came back at 1432.. doc said they were high to recheck in 3 days so I did.. then levels came back at 7160.. so my doc then told me theres a very very high chance Im carrying twins.. is this really possible? Im excited just cant wait till this coming friday will be close to 6 wks preg and another sono is scheduled hopefully to see the results .. so if you could let me know what u know of this subject thanks:)
