6/9/08 #5 - Passing out, slurred speech, one-sided paralysis? stroke. She can't see a neurologist till July, but just wanted to educated myself on these things... out and her mouth drawing are also good reasons for imaging to rule out stroke. Neither of these is common...crap
Has anyone heard of wisdom tooth movement causing a hemipalegic or basilar migraine?
My then 26 year old son was hospitalized several years ago with stroke-like symptoms. In retrospect, it seems he had a 3 week migraine with 2 acute episodes 10 days apart, each lasting about 24 hours. He had vomiting, transient unilateral numbness, agitation and, during the 2nd acute episode...crap
day 4 & all symptoms gone but left side numbness/weeakness
how long can numbness/weakness on one side last? First time hemiplegic attack caused numbness & weakness to last days. All other symptoms gone. Was admitted to hosp. to rule out stroke- all extensive tests negative so it is just a migraine attack. Still feel foggy. Having pt & ot daily at home now...crap
