How is your rash now? Try a medically tested moisturiser or aloe vera gel when you get them. Moisturisation can prevent and reduce flare ups.
I recommend asking the dermatologist for a diagnosis.  What is the doctor treating?  Consider if the treatment is working.  If you suspect the cedar tree, consider removing it from your house.
I could understand developing one or a few boils in a single area due to localized irritation.  I could also understand developing a rash due to environmental exposure.  But the whole body?  That's a bit of a stretch...
