Hi Dr Reznik,In a case of candidiasis on the soft and/or hard palate where it is hard to get a good view, would it be easy to FEEL the lesions/patches with a finger? Also, wouldn't erythematous... soft palates (roof of the mouth) with your tongue and possibly your finger. There are very mild cases...crap

Lymphoma of the tonsil? Can it be masked by infection?
I have an hypertrophic erythematous palatal tonsil for the past 3 months and of course I am HIV positive since 1988.All my labs are good and a biopsy showed no evidence of lymphoma, but my doc says that the concomitant infection (haemophilus influenzae) could cover an underlying lymphoma.Is it correct...crap

Doc, I'm begging you to answer this, and i hope this post will be of interest to you. You've helped me before regarding the erythematous candidiasis which has been on my palate for almost a full year - you advised me to see another specialist to determine a cause but again i've hit the proverbial...crap

Macular Rash inside mouth? Please respond.
I recently had one red spot on the hard palate of my mouth and one on my shoulder that only last a day or two. Could this be a sign of macular rash associated with HIV acute reaction? I am concerned since I came across pictures of rash's on the web and one of them was a picture of the hard palate with 3 red spots...crap
