I had the blood sample taken yesterday... results next Wednesday.

Now it's just a matter of waiting. I spoke to the people at the clinic about the issue of liver disease. I don't think..., when treatment options are limited.

I await my result in some anxiety.

Needle Stick HIV/Hep exposure
Hello,I am a newly hired ER tech. The other day I took a blood sample from an HIV+, Hep B+ patient. After incorrectly withdrawing the needle, the tip of it tapped my glove and i believe it pierced... said that i am on a different regiment than most (ie. AZT, etc) becuase her straing has become immune to those other treatments...crap

We have to take comfort in what each other says...

My blood sample is at the lab as we speak, drawn at 13 weeks, just 2 hours shy of a full... the sample. That was very important to me.

I am not going to relate my exposure story yet... planning on seeing a shrink (actually not a bad idea!)But then I found this board and became educated...crap

The reason I know I was positive so far back is I was in the HEP-Study and they re-tested the blood samples being stored in S.F.Ca.! Current issue I'm facing is LACK of ability to sleep.... Been on most of what's out there and this load of meds was considered salvage treatment but worked to treat HIV...crap
