Okay I have had a core needle biopsy of a lump right below the skin of my areola / nipple. The report DID RULE OUT a malignancy, fibroadenoma, absess and cyst... Not sure what it is though. So that was good news to me. The lump is attached to the underneth of the skin of the areola.  My nipple...crap

Core needle biopsy 1 mo ago, benign lump has now gone from 1 cm to 5 cm...
One month ago I had a core needle biopsy on an area retroareolar after palpating a 1cm lump. U/s showed a large, poorly defined mass extending to the chest wall. 8 cores were taken, benign fibrosis was the dx.... I am having another biopsy on Thursday.   Has anyone heard of such a reaction to a needle biopsy? My doctors are baffled...crap

Hey - just a quick note to let you know the needle biopsy went well. The radiologist pulled out some fluid, so that leans much more toward cyst than tumor. Woo-hoo - now I get to start chemo on Friday.   Yea!   Yep, this disease definitely warps our perspective. Poteetcrap

I have been waiting for 3 weeks since a needle biopsy to find out what I have. I called the Doctor 7 days ago, that I have not heard anything. He said the pathologist from Stuart, Fl. had sent it to Tenn. and from there it had gone to New York. That it was rare.  Papilloma? age 70crap

Should I worry about size of area growing .5 cm in 5 days?
During my needle biopsy yesterday, the technician said to the doctor that the area had grown from 2.7 to 3.2 - is this something I should worry about? The time frame was 5 days, I am still waiting... (6 days ago) and the needle biopsy done yesterday on both areas.  BarbaraR...crap
