I have very wide feet and walk on the outsides. Is this pronation or supination? Do I need orthotics? barbaracrap

I have low arch but outside of my shoes that get the wear. Am I over-pronated or hyper-supinated?
I have flat feet (anatomically) - esp. right foot shows little arch on a wet foot test But from the wear on my shoes and the observation that my feet often suddenly roll outward so much the outside... it is more like supination than pronation   I guess since I've had this problem since very young, my outside ankle...crap
