I too have had the taste problem for over 5 years.  It started with a dry mouth and obstruction in throat, then about 6 months later the taste developed.  ENT doctor did larynoscopy, upper GI and I took... down but in morning taste is back and lasts all day.  I chew gum all day long and use sugarless candy...crap

Since starting Pepcid I have a metallic taste in mouth. Seen dentist, can't find anything wrong.
The metallic taste seems to mostly be on the left side of mouth. The back teeth and tongue seem to be affected. I have seen the dentist and he can find nothing wrong. I am at wits end. I have been on PPI's for eight years and can no longer take them due to side effects Shelleycrap
