I've been taking Avonex for several Years. I have had a swollen tongue for at least a year with a very small black spot at the tip.  The neurologist, my regular doctor, the ENT that examined me believes that it's a medication reaction.  And no the black spot is not cancer, it seems to be a discoloration...crap
