Could lidocaine Topical gel cause 'venous insufficiency'?

Lidocaine Question
I went to emergency room on Tuesday with acid refluc pain and they gave me GI cocktail that have viscuous lidocaine and maalox in it. How long does the viscouos lidocaine stay in the system. Hopefully there should not be any side effects of lidocaine because I am thinking too much about it and that makes me depresscrap
