Yes, this is fine. Raising the knees will take tension off the back. A bed wedge or knee wedge works the best for this. You can also use a regular pillow but I find the wedges are better.

I have been having right leg pain for the past week and originally thought it was from a little working out. Now the pain is getting worse and a rash is developing quickly over that leg. Have had fibro for 13 years, this is different. Pain started in groin, into hip and leg, knee and foot. If legraised when lowering makes me come forward when touching leg down.
