Kadian Side Effects

what is an equal alternative to morphine as a narcotic for chronic pain?
I do not like the side effects of morphine.  I know there are other narcotics for use in control of chronic pain.  My doctor just seems hell bent on morphine/kadian now.  What else is there and how do I get my doctor to change? markcrap

Going for a Morphine Pump Trial
. There is no rhyme nor reason for this. One day, it will be the right side that kills me, and then the next day..., never a day, that I don't have pain.   In regard to medications, I am on 6omg of Kadian per day and 200mg... horrible constipation from the Kadian and that's the primary reason why I am considering the pump...crap

The BIG Decision
, still had wicked flares, though, and in '94, '96 had to have the hips replaced agian.  Had terrible side effects... around a while and see what effect they have on others, before you jump in?  So earlier this year I went to a pain clinic... that are MINE).  And if it happens to make it so I don't have to take the Kadian, MORE BETTER...crap
