Is it more difficult to treat deep, aching joint pain or the tender, swollen joints pain?

Fatigue and Joint Pain Got Me Worried

How long does it take for Vit.D to take effect? I have inflammation in joints (thought it was RA and still could be). Taking 1000mg/day. Is that enough?
The Rheumatologist started me on methotrexate but I didn't want to take that. My other doctor said I could have the inflammation in my joints because of deficiency in vitamin D and low iron. Am I taking the right dosage and how long does it take to start working, if this is truly the reason for my inflammation? Kimcrap

Atypical RA?
I visited my Rheumy yesterday to get some answers for the questions I had about RA. I told her besides the joint swelling I am also having problems with my tendons. She told my that I have atypical RA. Has anyone been told the same and what are your symptoms? Janetcrap

I tried enbrel and humira which have not worked, I am on 20 mg predisone and weekly methotrexate
Can anyone tell me what medications or treatments have helped with pain and joint swelling? I would like to get off the prednisone because of the side effects and the fact that it does not help much anymore, Cheriecrap

Should I press for more agressive treatment?
My Dr. has me on Plaquinel and this helped considerably. When I continued to have pain and swelling in my joints, he added 7.5 mg of mobic 2x a day. This has decreased pain and swelling significantly but I am concerned that the mobic is not a DMARD and is only treating the continued symptoms. Should I press...crap
