I had a right ankle fusion, coupled with one-quarter of my fibula removed in June 2008... this is not a question, rather a SCREAM.  I just read why I am in pain due to the ankle fusion.  Knowing about the stress above and below the fusion is the source of the pain and I guess messing part of the fibula...crap

Hi, I am at a point where I need to decide between a fingre joint replacement or a joint fusion.  I was hoping that there was someone who has had either of these done and could give me some info on the procedures, how it effects daily activities, etc.    Anyone??? Lauracrap

I recently had surgery to fuse the end joint in my finger, but the surgeon fused the wrong joint - the middle joint which had no problems! The new surgeon thinks he can reverse this. Is this possible?
I really want to know as I am a guitarist and of course with that joint fused I am extremely limited. Also, surgeon no.1 said that fusion is not reversible, and that if I had an artificial joint... before I take the leap!  The new surgeon is fusing the end joint next week, but he has said he wants me to wait...crap

The foot surgeon will be doing a fusion of the main joint on the big toe as well... that several years ago I had the same joint replaced on the other foot with titanium and asked why he was doing a fusion instead, he said that he prefers the fusion.   I realize that most surgeons don't stop...crap
