Age 67 and still having hot flashes and night sweats.
I was on HRT for 9 years (age 51-60); off for 7 years during which flashes continued... me on Effexor 75 mg to wean me off the HRT. I am dubious about the Effexor, and noticed more flashes since starting it. I am supposed to start reducing the HRT soon. I am otherwise in excellent health...crap

I had an complete historecty in the 90's. My Dr. started me on HRT, I took it up until about a year ago, I have heard there is a blood test you can have that tells you what your hormone levels are, my Dr says there is no such thing. Does anyone know of this?

I am 37 on HRT for 5 years, found lump in right breast 2 years ago. They just keep checking it every year with mamo and ultasound. One month ago found a lump in left breast, after mamo and ultrasound they say I need a MRI. Do I need to stop taking my estrogen before MRI?
