bruise or even stress fracture.  I'd suggest seeing your family physician to get evaluated, possibly even... while healing.  Of course, if it's a fracture, you have to find out why and whether you're at risk...
.  Perhaps you have an infection?  Did you drop anything on your foot?  Kick anything?  It's possible to have a (stress) fracture... the previous fracture where none could be seen previously.  It doesn't sound like you're describing a rash...
I definitely agree. Hate to say it, but I've been dealing with foot injuries for a while now and you do not want to let it go unchecked! Good luck See a sports doctor asap to check you for a stress fracture.
