Just curious why there is no talk about fasting before testing for VL and CD4. Most other important blood testing requires fasting before a really accurate answer. I tested at Long's Drugs...!!! I've been tracking my morning fasting blood sugar and it has been running between 87 and 102... today it was 120.  I thought, Wow, let's do that again, and it was 87 a few seconds later? I took the test immediately after getting out of bed, could that have something to do with it...crap

I had a fasting liped panel done in mid July, my cholesterol was 178.  A month later I gave blood and they performed a complementary cholesterol test.  Of course this test was not fasting. My cholesterol was 254... a false one?  I ate breakfast and lunch that day plus a candy bar before I gave blood because I have past...crap
