Adopting HIV+ 11 mo old
I am adopting an 11 mo old that is HIV+. She is in a foreign country. She was just reliquinshed by her mom. What additional tests should I ask the agency to run? Should she be started on meds now... with her country of origin but it would be important to know whether she has also been evaluated for syphilis...crap

Dr. Bob, My sister recently tried to donate blood and was denied. She recieved a letter stating that she was HIV positive. How accurate are the tests that the Red Cross performs? She is getting an HIV test... the blood supply, not to diagnose HIV disease. The tests run at blood donation centers are very sensitive...crap
